This book celebrates the period during which 50007 and 50049, owned and maintained by the Class 50 Alliance, carried the striking blue and orange GBRf livery. 
 
Following their repaint in 2019, 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance provided motive power for excursion trains, stock moves, and route learning activities. They also visited a number of
picturesque preserved railways. Consequently, they operated over much of the British railway network, through Scotland, Wales and across much of England.  
 
This book draws on the archive of over forty of the UK’s best railway photographers to illustrate the work of the “GBRf Twins”, and that of the team that supported them, between 2019 and 2024.  
 
All profits from the sale of this book will be spent preserving these, and other class 50s, helping to secure their future for all to enjoy.
