By Ted Reading (Published by Under My Stairs Books)

This photographic album is entirely from the camera of Ted Reading, who travelled extensively through the 1970s and  80s using his camera at every turn to capture the normal and everyday of the UK railways. Forty years later he is publishing elements of this black and white archive.

Printed on art quality gloss paper pages are over 400 photographs with the contents really starting at Exeter then covering the major stations and TMDs down to Penzance, the period covered focusses on 1977 to 1984 so the semaphores, 50s in their prime and HSTs are the most frequent subjects included.

There are approx 85 photographs of Class 50s covering about 80% of the class, both in blue and large logo liveries.

Locomotive classes covered: 03, 08, 25, 31, 33, 37, 45, 46, 47, 52, 56, DMUs, HSTs, and lots of different types of permanent way infrastructure maintenance rollingstock and locations. As can be expected much of the images reveal a long lost railway.
