UK Railtours have announced the cancellation of Saturday’s tour due to lack of locomotive availability after Hanson & Hall’s 50008 Thunderer suffered a major fault on Saturday. With 50007 Hercules undergoing maintenance and two locomotives required, a cancellation was the only option unfortunately. All passengers have been contacted directly by UK Railtours and will receive a full refund.

Image L Ball Unfortunately on route Hanson & Hall’s 50008 Thunderer developed a unknown fault, which saw her detached from the train at Leicester on the outward journey. Defiance then carried on solo and made up the time lost, arriving only 4 mins late at Bury. The tour has arrived back at Watford junction this eveni
