Rededication of 50033 Glorious at the Severn Valley Railway

The rededication of 50033 “Glorious” will take place on Saturday 17th May at Kidderminster station at 11:55.
We will be joined by representatives of the HMS Glorious,HMS Ardent & HMS Acasta Association,(GLARAC),the Royal Navy and Worcester Sea Cadets.
2025 is the 85th anniversary of the sinking of HMS Glorious on 8th June 1940 in the Norwegian Sea, with the loss of 1207 crew and only 40 survivors.
The aircraft carrier was evacuating British aircraft from Norway, when she and along with her two escorting destroyers,HMS Ardent and HMS Acasta were sunk.
