The Class 50 Alliance are pleased to announce the repaint of 50007 Hercules & 50049 Defiance back into the classic BR Blue large logo this summer.
We have been proud of 50007 & 50049 wearing the striking livery of GBRf for past five years, since their unveiling at Eastleigh in March 2019, but now it is time for a change, and we know the large logo livery is a very popular choice for many of the locomotive’s admirers.
Bodywork repairs have begun at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway this past month in preparation for the repaint at Eastleigh.
The duo last mainline trip in GBRf colours will be Pathfinder Railtours “The Mazey Day Cornishman” on Saturday 29th June travelling to Penzance from the Midlands.
