A trip to Oban has been desired by many class 50 fans for such a long time and we are delighted to support our friends at the Branch Line Society by providing the motive power for a 3 days adventure to the West Highlands of Scotland and of course, with a few rare branch and freight lines in the mix.

Departing from our home on the Severn Valley Railway on Saturday morning will see our arrive in Polmont in time for dinner on day one. Located near Falkirk and the stunning sculptures, The Kelpies a good choice of accommodation can be found nearby.

Day two will see us head east to Oban for a couple of hours to explore this coastal town, before we head to Wemyss Bay, with its stunning station.

Day three and time to go home via the interesting way with a break at Carlisle to allow the locomotives to double up to power us south.
